A great way to brighten your space is by adding a beautiful living plant. Plants bring many great things to an indoor environment. They can help with the air quality by bringing fresh air into a small place and bring life into a workspace or room.
“Indoor plants and their micro-organism friends in the soil work wonders to refresh and enliven the air inside our homes, and improve our well-being. They remove toxins such as ammonia, benzene and formaldehyde which can cause eye, nose and throat irritation, lethargy, headaches, poor concentration and much worse. These contaminants are released into our homes from furnishings, paints, building materials, office equipment and all sorts of synthetic consumer goods.” The Happy Earth, TheHappyEarth.com
There are many types of indoor plants that are easy to maintain. Such as the Philodendron, they take indirect light and little water and you have a wonderful companion for your space. My favorite is the maiden hair fern, this fern takes a little more care. Make sure when picking your indoor plant, you choose one that fits your lifestyle. Some plants take more work than others, but the reward is worth it!
