National Association of Realtors LogoThe International Committee is changing its name and “going global” to align itself with NAR’s global initiative.

We are now going to be called the Global Business Alliance (GBA) to expand our business to foreign markets and to attract foreign buyers to our market. The global market is really heating up with this thing called the Internet and the Global Business Alliance Committee at the Arcadia Association of Realtors will help you stay on top of the latest trends worldwide.

A great way to take advantage of the global market is to obtain your CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation. The CIPS is the specialty membership group for international practitioners of the National Association of REALTORS®. The CIPS designation prepares REALTORS® to service the growing international market in their local communities by focusing on culture, exchange rates, investment trends, and legal issues. To find out how you can obtain your CIPS designation, please go to http://www.realtor.org/global.

The Arcadia Association of Realtors is dedicated to leading with diversity and always being a pioneer in our industry. With that being said, the Arcadia Association of Realtors was recently announced by NAR as the #1 Ambassador Association of Realtors amongst all the Association of Realtors in the nation! Thanks to our fine leadership and hard work we are NAR’s Ambassador Association to the National Association of Austria. We also serve as NAR liaison to Austria and Singapore. The Global Business Alliance committee promotes innovation and explores the exciting way technology is changing our profession worldwide. We welcome new members. If you are interested in joining the GBA committee, please call the board at (626) 446-2115.

Global tip to remember: Although many of the buyers in our area are finding it difficult to obtain a loan, nearly 46% of international home buyers paid cash for their homes per NAR’s January Global Marketing Newsletter.
